Aus deutscher Produktion erreichte uns das Debutalbum einer noch recht jungen Countryband: Die im August 2003 gegründeten Amazing Routes präsentieren auf ihrer CD "You've Got A Dream To Catch" einen sehr eigenen Musikstil, den sie selbst als "New American Southern Music" bezeichnen. Alle 13 Songs aus eigener Feder zeigen eine gelungene Mischung aus Rock-, Blues- & Countryelementen. Speziell die Instrumentierung und die Arrangements sind absolut überzeugend. Der Leadsängerin Christine Schmidt merkt man durchaus eine Vorliebe für die Folkrichtung an, und so laden Songs wie "Gone", "Wanna Be Loved" und unser persönlicher Favorit "Just To Be By Your Side" zu einem Besuch auf der Homepage der Amazing Routes ein, wo Ihr natürlich auch ihre aktuellen Termine findet. Garantiert keine Country-Mainstreamproduktion - eher etwas für alle, die gern neben den ausgetretenen Musikpfaden nach kleinen seltenen Besonderheiten Ausschau halten. Dafür ist dieses Album aber stark "Cross-Over"-verdächtig. He, Ihr deutschen Plattenfirmen-Talentjäger, Ohren auf!

We received the debut album from a real fresh German country music band: on their cd "You've Got A Dream To Catch" the Amazing Routes founded in August 2003 present a very own music style they call "New American Southern Music". In all 13 self-written songs you find a quite interesting mixture of  rock, blues and country elements. Especially the uniqe kind of  instrumental arragements will satisfy you. Listening to the voice lead singer Cristine Schmidt shows her faible for "folky" sounds and songs like "Gone", "Wanna Be Loved" and our own favorite "Just To Be By Your Side" truely invite you to visit their website where you surely can find their toring schedule to listen to a live performance. Hey, this album is really no country music mainstream production - it might be a little jewel for people walking beside the big paths looking for something special concerning music. But it got a strong cross-over taste, so you German record company talent scouts, just try it out!
