Andy Rivers

Andy Rivers kann man mit Sicherheit als Naturtalent bezeichnen. Sein „Swiss Yodeling“, eine uralte musikalische Ausdrucksform in der amerikanischen Countrymusic, sowie sein  exzellentes Fiddle-Spiel heben ihn deutlich aus der Masse der Countrykünstler heraus. Er selber sagt von sich, dass er sich niemals an die Plattenindustrie in Nashville verkaufen will. „Ich singe zur Ehre Gottes (...) Ich möchte niemals, dass mir jemand vorschreibt was und wie ich zu singen habe“ sagt Andy Rivers selbst. Er liebt den „Old-time Country Style“, und das hört man auf seinem Album “What A Day It Will Be” deutlich heraus. Sein Musikstil versetzt einen teilweise zurück in die Zeiten von Gene Autry, Tex Ritter und den Sons Of  The Pioneers. Besonders beeindrucken Jodel-Songs wie „Sing A Song“, „Everytime I Think About Jesus“ und „When We Start To Yodel“, aber auch eine wunderschöne Version von „Turn The Radio On“. You surely can call Andy Rivers a „Musical Talent By The Grace Of God“. His “Swiss Yodeling”, a traditional form of country music, and his excellent fiddling sign him being a very special country music artist. He swore never to sell out to the rcording industry in Nashville. “I sing o glorify God and to edify the people He created. I don’t want anyone else telling me what to sing or how to sing” he announced on the evening of his first CD release.
