Cattle Company

Niemand soll denken, Country Special Radio Berlin würde sich bei seinen CD-Vorstellungen nur um den amerikanischen Kontinent kümmern. Die Band Cattle Company stammt von der grünen Insel Irland und spielt seit den frühen 90er Jahren Country Music, die von Einflüssen der irischen Musik sowie des Bluegrass Sounds geprägt ist. Mit ihrem Debutalbum "Hero" (nicht mehr erhältlich) wurden sie 1995 von der European Country Music Association als beste Europäische "Independent Group" geehrt.

Auch 1999 erhielten sie Auszeichnungen der North America CMA International in Gatlinburg, TN. In diesem Jahr hatten sie auch einen erfolgreichen Auftritt im polnischen Fernsehen, der in ganz Europa ausgestrahlt wurde.

Ihr aktuelles Album "Big Town After Dark", das 2001 erschienen ist, steht Meilen entfernt von dem gängigen "Easy Listening" - Country Sound aus Nashville. Es macht aber hungrig darauf, mehr Musik von irischen Countryinterpreten zu hören. Diese Band wäre mit Sicherheit eine Bereicherung für manches deutsches Countryfestival.

Don’t believe Country Special Radio Berlin only cares about new cds coming from North-America. The band Cattle Company who settles on the green island Ireland started playing country music in the early ‘90s, influenced bay celtic and bluegrass sounds. With their debut album “Hero” (unfortunately sold out! ) they won the “Independent Group” award by the European Country Music Association in 1995. In 1999 they were honoured by the North American CMA International in Gatlinburg, TN and had a very successful appearance in the Polish TV transmitted in whole Europe.

On their latest album “Big Town After Dark”, published in 2001, you really find no Nashville-made “Easy Listening” country sound but lots of irish proved country music that’ll make you cry for more. This band could be a hot thing for some German country music festivals.
