Eine Demo-CD des 2003 gegründeten deutschen Trios CoCo – The Country Cocktail. Country Special Radio Berlin hat diese Formation bereits einige Male live auf der Bühne erleben dürfen und als exzellente Musiker schätzen gelernt. Umso mehr freuen wir uns bereits jetzt auf das erste Album, dass für Ende 2004 angekündigt ist. Die Demo-CD ist geeignet, diese Vorfreude noch zu steigern: der nordirische Gitarrist und Sänger Nigel Anderson und seine Partnerin aus Chemnitz, Andrea Eckhold (beide früher bei Jo & Co aktiv) zusammen mit dem Drummer Mike Thieme präsentieren einen Mix aus New Country (u.a.„Drive“, „Travellin’ Soldier“), Rock (so z.B. „Highway To Hell“ und „Born To Be Wild“) sowie zwei Eigenkompositionen: das ruhigere „Take Time“ (Andrea erinnert dabei stark an Martina McBride) sowie „Save Your Soul“ im Stil der legendären Eagles.

We received a demo cd from the 2003 founded German trio CoCo – The Country Cocktail. Country Special Radio Berlin already met this band for a few times live on stage and found them to be real excellent country music artists. We’re already awaiting their first cd announced to be presented in the end of 2004. Listening to this demo recording the album will probably become a great one: guitarist and singer Nigel Anderson from North Ireland and his partner Andrea Eckhold from Chemnitz, Germany (both already played at the German band Jo & Co) together with drummer Mike Thieme present an awesome mixture of new country sound (“Drive”, “Travellin’ Soldier”), rock music (for example “Highway To Hell” and “Born To Be Wild”) combined with two self-written songs. In “Take Time” Andrea’s voice somehow reminds of Martina McBride and “Save Your Soul” has been composed in the style of the legendary Eagles.
