Earthwood Family - Atemlos
Eine Legende der Berliner Countryszene hat ein neues Baby geboren -und die neue CD „Atemlos“ der Band Earthwood Family ist ein äußerst kräftiges und gesundes Baby. Earthwood Family hat sich auf deutschsprachige Songs verlegt und bedient damit gezielt den Kreis von Countryfreunden, die mangels ausreichender Englischkenntnisse auch gerne einmal etwas von den Texten erfahren möchten. Und zuhören muß man bei der CD „Atemlos“ schon. Die Songs bedienen in keiner Weise das deutsche „Countryschlager-Klischee“, sondern sind so wie in amerikanischen Liedern aus dem Leben gegriffen, drehen sich um Liebe, Enttäuschung und Vertrauen, ohne dabei kitschig zu wirken. Songs wie „SMS (zu Deinem Herz)“ oder auch die Uptempo-Nummer „Halt die Klappe und küss mich“ haben gute Chancen auf einen Dauerplatz in den deutschen Countryradiosendungen und bei den Country-DJs landauf landab. Aber auch die Songs „Alles klar“, der Swing-Titel „Das beste für mich“ oder die ruhige Ballade „Vergangenheit“ sowie alle anderen Songs dieses Albums verdienen es gehört zu werden. Wohlgemerkt – dieses Album ist nichts zum nebenher plätschern lassen! Man muß sich schon Zeit nehmen und zuhören, damit sich einem diese musikalische Blüte richtig öffnet.

A new baby was born by a musical legend from Berlin – and the new cd “Atemlos” presented by the Berlin country music band Earthwood Family is a very strong baby. Earthwood Family is known for playing songs strictly in German language, a special service for all country music fans whose English is not so well to understand the lyrics of American country songs. And you really have to listen well to this new album “Atemlos”. There is no easy listening country music on it, the songs talk about love, disappointment and trust with out being “sugar sweet”. Especially the songs “SMS (zu Deinem Herz)” and the uptempo number “Halt die Klappe und küss mich” may climb to a good position in the German country music charts. And there are lots of more great songs on this cd like “Alles klar”, the swinging “”Das beste für mich” or the slow ballad “Vergangenheit”. But don’t forget – this is no music for listening while doing other things. Take time, sit down and listen carefully, than this musical flower might open up to you.
