Erneut erreichte uns eine Debut-CD aus den USA: John Cirillo & Ghostown haben das Album „Lonesome Side By Side“ veröffentlicht, dessen Sound eine gelungene Kombination aus klassischem Country und Newcountry darstellt. Einige Songs erinnern übrigens an die Lieder der Mavericks. Auf ihrer Homepage (sehr schön gestaltet!) kann man in alle Songs dieser CD hineinhören und findet auch die Songtexte dazu (toller Service!). Wir empfehlen für einen ersten Eindruck, in den schwungvollen „A Bridge That Will Not Burn“, den ruhigen Titelsong „Lonesome Side By Side“ sowie unbedingt in den wunderschönen „Winter In My Heart“ hineinzuhören. Aber auch die anderen Lieder des Albums überzeugten uns in der Meinung, dass diese Band bestimmt eines Tages den Weg in die Countrycharts findet.
There’s one more debut album that came into our editorial office from the USA: John Cirillo & Ghostown published the cd “Lonesome Side By Side” with an excellent combination of classical and new country. By the way, some of the songs reminded us from the Mavericks. A great service for the country music fans: on their homepage you can listen to all songs of this album and you can find all lyrics on it. Just listen (for example) to the moving “A Bridge That Will Not Burn”, the slow title song “Lonesome Side By Side” and (it’s a must!) to the wonderful “Winter In My Heart”. Well, listening to the whole album we’re quite sure to find this band in the country music charts some day.
