Hier ist mal wieder etwas für die Freunde des New Country-Sounds: John Story hat Ende 2003 sein erstes Album „One Empty Swing“ veröffentlicht. Der in Vera Beach, Florida geborene Countrysänger lebt jetzt in Pulaski, Tennessee. Vom Aussehen erinnert John Story stark an Alan Jackson, während seine Stimme mehr an Randy Travis denken lässt. Auf jeden Fall ist ihm auf seinem Album eine gute Songkombination gelungen. Besonders erwähnenswert sind der Tush Push „Makin’ It“, der Uptempo-Twostep „Progress Of Man“ und der Titelsong der CD, der 3-Step „One Empty Swing“, der durchaus auch in Deutschland gute Erfolgschancen hat.
