Ein musikalischer Leckerbissen für alle Freunde akustischer Musik erreichte uns aus Vancouver, Washington. Das Album „Rising“ der Ladies-Band „Misty River“ ist hervorragend für gemütliche Abende bei Kerzenschein oder am Kamin geeignet. Die Musik der Bandmitglieder LAURA QUIGLEY (voc./bass), DANA ABEL (voc./accordion/guitar), CHRIS KOKESH (voc./fiddle/guitar) und CAROL HARLEY (voc./guitar/banjo) überzeugt durch eine exzellente Mischung aus Bluegrass und Celtic-Music. Die 1997 gegründete Band bietet mit Sicherheit wenig für Linedancer, aber auf jeden Fall viel für Liebhaber gut gemachter Songs. Lieder wie z.B.der Town van Zandt-Titel „If I Needed You“ (vielen Country-Fans bestimt in der Version von Emmylou Harris bekannt) bieten einen wundervollen Satzgesang und „Little Sadie“ und „Real As A Dream“ verführen zum Träumen.

The cd “Rising” by the ladies band “Misty River” is an excellent opportunity for soft candlelight evenings or sitting relaxed on a sofa watching a flickering fireplace. The members of Misty River, LAURA QUIGLEY (voc./bass), DANA ABEL (voc./accordion/guitar), CHRIS KOKESH (voc./fiddle/guitar) and CAROL HARLEY (voc./guitar/banjo)show a perfect mixture of celtic and bluegrass sounds. Founded in 1997 Misty Rivermay not become a favourite for linedance fans, but will for sure fascinate all friends of well-done songs. Titles like “If I Needed You” written by Townes van Zandt (you might already know the version sung by Emmylou Harris) proof to contain wondeful harmony singing and others like “Little Sadie” and “Real As A Dream” will make you dreaming.
