Der 66jährige Countrysänger Charley Pride („Crystal Chandeliers“) wurde laut einer Meldung von CMT am 11. Mai 2004 aus dem Krankenhaus in Dallas entlassen, nachdem er sich am 11. Mai 2004 einer Notoperation an einem subduralen Hämatom im Gehirn unterziehen mußte. Die Genesung wird vier bis sechs Wochen in Anspruch nehmen. Charley Pride hat mehrere Auftritte, darunter eine 12tägige Kanada-Tour, abgesagt.

CMT reports that 66-year-old country music singer Charley Pride has been released from Dallas hospital on May 11^th, 2004 after passing an emergency surgery on May 8^th, 2004 to remove a subdural hematoma from his brain. Full recovering will take between four and six weeks so Charley Pride had to cancel several performing dates including a 12-day Canadian tour.

Konzertabsagen wegen Operation

Laut einer Meldung von CMT muß sich der 71jährige Countrysänger Willie Nelson einer Operation an seiner Hand (Karpal-Tunnelsyndrom) unterziehen und muß daher seine geplanten Konzerttermine absagen. Als erster Auftritt nach seiner Genesung ist der 1. Juli 2004 in Wichita Falls, Texas geplant, er wäre daher rechtzeitig zum legendären Forth of July Picnic in Fort Worth wieder spielbereit.

Dates Cancelled Because Of Surgery

71-year-old country music singer Willie Nelson had to cancel all dates because of surgery to his hand (carpal tunnel syndrome) as CMT reports. After recovering he is scheduled to perform again in Wichita Falls, Texas on July 1s, 2004, right in time to play at the legendary Forth of July Picnic in Fort Worth, Texas.

Glen Campbell verurteilt

Der 67jährige Countrysänger Glen Campbell ist am 10. Mai 2004 laut einer Meldung von CMT wegen Fahrens unter Alkoholeinfluß und Unfallflucht zu 10 Tagen Gefängnis und 75 Stunden gemeinnütziger Arbeit verurteilt worden, nachdem er sich schuldig bekannt hatte. Die Anklage wegen Angriffs auf einen Polizeibeamten nach seiner Festnahme in Phoenix, Arizona im November 2003 (wir berichteten) wurde fallengelassen.

Glen Campbell Sentenced

After pleading guilty 67-year-old country music singer Glen Campbell has been sentenced to 10 days in jail and 75 hours of community service because of extreme DUI and leaving the scene of an accident as CMT reports. The charge of aggravated assault (he attacked a police officer after being arrested in Phoenix, Arizona in November 2003 as we reported) has been dropped.

Laut einer Meldung von Takin‘ The Country Back hat nur die schnelle Reaktion des Busfahrers am 27.
