Der in Oregon geboren und aufgewachsene Butch Martin entwickelte seine Baritonstimme auf der Ranch seines Großvaters und gemeinsam mit Skip Bessonette spielt er Musik aus den Wurzeln der amerikanischen Geschichte. Cowboygedichte mischen sich mit wunderschönen Melodien wie „Rose Of Old Pawnee“, „Ghost Riders In The Sky“, „My Home’s In Montana“ oder „Cattle Call“. Dazu Gospels und Spirituals wie „Swing Low Sweet Chariot”, “How Great Thou Art” oder (unserer Meinung nach einmalig) eine Vertonung des Vater Unser. Alben, die eigentlich für alle Pflicht sind, denen ein knisterndes Kaminfeuer noch mehr bedeutet als eine flackernde Neonreklame.
