Auf der „Country Live 2004“ in Kassel ergab sich der Kontakt zu der 1991 gegründeten Countryband „Caravan“ aus Thüringen, von der wir Euch zwei Produktionen vorstellen möchten. „Steig ab vom Truck“ sowie „Es gibt noch mehr...“ beinhalten eine Mischung aus traditionellen Songs, New Country und selbst geschriebenen Titeln. Einige der Songs aus eigener Feder („Steig ab vom Truck“, „Des Cowboys Freund“ oder „Die Band“) sind musikalisch in der Truckerrichtung beheimatet – und überzeugen, sowohl mit Musik als auch mit Text. Aber auch einige der Coversongs sind wirkliche Highlights, so z.B. das großartige „Deportee“ oder der Ian Tyson-Song „Old Cheyenne“. At the German country music fan fair “Country Live 2004” we had the first contact to the band “Caravan” from the state Thüringen founded in 1991. We’d like to present you both albums of “Caravan”: “Es gibt noch mehr…” (“There’s Still More…”) and “Steig ab vom Truck” (“Get Down From The Truck”). On these two cds you can find a mixture of traditional country songs, new country and self-written ones in German). Some of the self-penned songs (like “Steig ab vom Truck”, “Des Cowboys Freund” (“Cowboy’s Friend”) and “Die Band” (“The Band”) are settled in the trucker music corner – and they are really great (music as well as lyrics). But also some cover songs are highlights like the great version of “Deportee” or the Ian Tyson song “Old Cheyenne”.
