Seine Karriere begann in Sydney, wo er vom legendären Tommy Emmanuel entdeckt wurde und schon bald in Bands wie Hattrick oder Connors’ Prodigal Sons mitwirkte. Neben anderen Awards wurde er 1999, 2000 und 2003 von der Country Music Association of Australia (CMAA) mit einer Golden Guitar für „Instrumental of the Year“ ausgezeichnet.
