Spaghetti Western

"Spaghetti Western" - das steht im deutschsprachigen Raum eigentlich als Synonym für alte Italo-Western im Stil eines Sergio Leone. Umso überraschter waren wir als wir die CD der gleichnamigen amerikanischen Band zum ersten Mal in den CD-Spieler legten. Exzellente Countrymusik von einer Band aus Santa Barbara, Kalifornien.

Gegründet Anfang der 90er Jahre, trat die Band Spaghetti Western bereits im Vorprogramm zahlreicher namhafter Countryinterpreten wie z.B. Carlene Carter, den Smokin' Armadillos, Mark Collie, BR549 u. a. auf.

Auch bei großen Events wie z. B. dem Great Western Forum Rodeo in Los Angeles, dem Old Spanish Days Rodeo und der Santa Barabara County Fair konnte man sie bereits erleben. Die mit dem Bandnamen betitelte CD überzeugt durch gute variable Songs mit einer hervorrageneden Instrumentalarbeit. Als besondere Anspieltips seien hier die Songs "Smoky Mountain Girl", "Tornado" und "Irish Hillbillies" (ein Song, der an unseren Diskotheken zum Selbstläufer werden könnte!) genannt.

"Spaghetti Western" - in the area of German spoken people this is a synonym for Italian western movies produced in Sergio Leone style. So we were very surprised when we put the cd sent to us by the Band Spaghetti Western into the player for the first time. Man, this is excellent country music made by this band from Santa Barbara, CA. Build up in the early 90's. Spaghetti Western already played on stage together with famous country music stars like Carlene Carter, the Smokin' Armadillos, Mark Collie, BR549 and others.

American country music fans could hear them on big events like the Great Western Forum Rodeo in Los Angeles, the Old Spanish Days Rodeo and the Santa Barabara County Fair. This self-titled cd shows good and different styles of songs including a marvellous instrumental job. For a first contact to the music, just listen to "Smoky Mountain Girl", "Tornado" and "Irish Hillbillies" (might become a top hit at our mobile discotheques!).
