Viele wissen es ja: Countrymusik genießt in den benachbarten europäischen Ländern eine deutlich größeren Stellenwert als hier in Deutschland besitzt, so z.B. auch in den Niederlanden. Von Enter & Pro (Thank You!) erhielten wir die DVD (mit 5 Clips) und Bonus-CD „FiveLive“ von der holländischen Band Texas Renegades, die seit dem 2. November 2004 im Handel erhältlich ist. Texas Renegades wurde 1998 gegründet, gewann bereits einige Talentwettbewerbe und wurde beim National Country Music Contest als „Most Promising Band“ ausgezeichnet. Ihre Auftritte führten sie nicht nur über die niederländische Grenze hinaus quer durch Europa, sondern auch bereits nach Texas.
Die vorliegende DVD „FiveLive“, übrigens eine der ersten Country-DVDs aus den Niederlanden, überzeugt zunächst einmal durch eine hervorragende Bild- & Tonqualität, die das Ansehen der im Videoclip-Format produzierten Songs zu einem Genuß macht. Countryfreunde dürfen sich auf einen schönen Mix aus Coverversionen (z.B. ein exzellentes „Good Ole Boys“ oder das äußerst gelungene „The Race Is On“) und eigenen Songs (herrlich: „Remember To Forget“) freuen. Auf der Bonus-CD gibt es dann alle fünf Titel noch einmal in akustischer Version plus den selbstgeschriebenen Song „Silver Lining“.
Unser Rat: Diese DVD-/CD-Kombination kann man blind kaufen. Sie präsentiert Countrymusik der Topqualität aus den Niederlanden, wovon Ihr Euch auf der Homepage von Texas Renegade ein eigenes Bild machen könnt. Texas Renegade braucht mit ihrer Musik den Vergleich mit Topbands aus den USA nicht scheuen!
Well, we know: country music’s position in German culture isn’t as high at the time as in the surrounding European countries, for example in The Netherlands. Enter & Pro (Thank You!) sent us a DVD carrying five clips plus a bonus cd by the Dutch band Texas Renegade presented to the public on November 2nd, 2004. The band was founded in 1998 and has already won several talent contests as well as “Most Promising Band” at the National Country Music Contest. They’ve already performed in The Netherlands and several other European countries as well as in Texas.
This DVD “FiveLive”is one of the first Dutch country music DVDs, and it’s produced in an overwhelming sound and picture quality. You will truly enjoy watching the video-clip-style produced cover songs (like the excellent “Good Ole Boys” or the wonderful “The Race Is On”) as well as the self-penned songs (like “Remember To Forget”). You can find all five songs again on the bonus cd plus the self-written “Silver Lining”).
