Wow, ein Album mit Coverversionen bekannter Countrysongs, bei dem man sich nicht ständig nach dem Original sehnt. Vielleicht liegt es daran, dass die 1989 gegründeten Dusty Brothers aus Ansbach auf ihrem 2002 aufgenommenen und 2003 veröffentlichten Album

„-Live- Weidefestival (Schönbronn)“ einen zurückhaltenden Instrumentalstil gewählt haben und die Titel dadurch viel transparenter wirken. Hinzu kommt eine gute gesangliche Präsentation und der Verzicht auf ein künstliches Aufpeppen der Live-Atmosphäre (zusätzlicher eingespielter Applaus, Schreien und was ein Tonstudio sonst noch an Spielereien bereit hält). Das Album (mit Songs wie z.B. „Will The Circle Be Unbroken“, „Chaisin’ That Neon Rainbow“ oder “Margaritaville”, unsere Favoriten!) wirkt ehrlich, und wenn die sechsköpfigen Dusty Brothers, auf dem Album durch zwei Gastmusiker verstärkt, auch bei sonstigen Auftritten diese Ausstrahlung haben, sollte man sich einen Besuch einer ihrer Veranstaltungen nicht entgehen lassen. Wow, this is an album full of cover versions of well-known country songs you can listen to without reaching out for getting the original back. Maybe this is a result of a very transparent instrumental style on this album “-Live- Weidefestival (Schönbronn)”recorded in 2002 and published in 2003 by the Dusty Brothers from Ansbach/Germany founded in 1989. There’s a great vocal presentation and they didn’t try to pep it up by additional applause, screaming or whatever a recording studio offers to get more live atmosphere. This cd “our favorites on it are “Will The Circle Be Unbroken”, “Chaisin’ That Neon Rainbow” or “Margaritaville”) sounds honest and true. If the Dusty Brothers consisting of six guys (plus two friends on this recording) sound as honest on every event they play – well, than it’s time to visit one of their gigs.
